This Fourth of July carries extraordinary meaning as our nation celebrates 250 years of freedom. Across America — and certainly throughout District 33 — families are gathering with joy, pride, and excitement. From backyard barbecues to fireworks lighting up the night sky, we are united by our love for this country and our gratitude for the privilege of living in the greatest nation on earth.
As we celebrate, I encourage every American to pause and remember the sacrifices that made this milestone possible. Our Founding Fathers risked everything to secure liberty, and generations of brave men and women have laid down their lives to protect it. Their courage reminds us that freedom is never guaranteed — every generation must be willing to defend it, or we will surely lose it.
John Adams once wrote, “[Future Generations]! You will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom.” His words echo across the centuries, reminding us of the profound responsibility we carry today.
Above all, we give thanks to the Lord for His hand in guiding this nation from its birth 250 years ago. By His grace, may America continue to stand strong, free, and blessed for generations to come.
