Congressional candidate Stephanie Vargas was invited to participate in Woodrow Wilson Elementary School’s third annual Career Day on Wednesday, where she spoke to students about her work as the Chief Deputy City Clerk for the City of Colton. Vargas explained the responsibilities she carries as the city’s elections official and highlighted the importance of open government and public transparency.

Throughout her presentation, Vargas encouraged students to stay engaged in their community by paying attention to local issues, speaking up in civic discussions, communicating with their representatives, and even considering running for office in the future.
